2018 SUMMER PROGRAM
Join our 2018 Summer Program as we provide our 10th year of summer-long programs and activities that enrich their academic, cultural, social, and artistic skills!. Youth enrolled in the program also enjoy recreational activities including field trips and soccer. Our Summer Program also includes “Girls on the Run,” a track program for our young girls that helps empower young girls to participate in sports while respecting their culture. MEIRS provides a 9-week juvenile justice awareness program during the summer. Both parents and youth will learn how the juvenile justice system & court system work and
understand their legal and educational rights. We will conclude our summer programs in our 7th Annual Juvenile Justice Panel, where we invite local police, juvenile judges, correctional officers, social workers, and other experts to answer questions from parents and youth and interact with each other. The program runs Monday-Friday during the summer. Please click on the link below to see the flyer. During the school year, MEIRS provides its after school activities in our center at 256 Bartlett Street in Lewiston from 3-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Our afterschool programming not only focuses on homework help, but also assists youth with social skills, sports, art and cultural activities.
If you have questions, please contact Omar at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are also looking for volunteers to assist with the program.
